GIP Launched The School of Party Politics for the Women Politicians

On April 13, the School of Party Politics for Women Politicians was launched within the framework of the project “Strengthening Sustainable Political Culture Among Georgian Political Parties.” This project is implemented by the Georgian Institute of Politics (GIP) with the support of the Embassy of the Swiss Confederation in Georgia. It aims to enhance a value-based political culture grounded in the principle of cooperation.

The initiative brings together over 20 women politicians representing 13 political parties, along with more than 10 civil society representatives. As part of the project, GIP will work with them to provide a discussion platform on political culture in Georgia and the potential of women politicians. GIP will also facilitate fieldwork in various regions of Georgia, where the women politicians will strengthen their communication skills with the electorate and develop research-based knowledge of voters’ needs.

The opening event began with welcome remarks from GIP Director Prof. Kornely Kakachia and Swiss Ambassador to Georgia Heidi Grau. Together with the participants, Prof. David Aprasidze discussed the importance of women politicians in political depolarization.
