In total,\u00a0<strong>12 training sessions were held covering 6 different topics.\u00a0<\/strong>Apart from the trainings, during May, a number of <strong>Space for Discussion series<\/strong> were organized by the ELS participants. This is an additional opportunity for them to meet the experts of different fields as well as the representatives of public and private sectors. <span id=\"more-18512\"><\/span>The participants choose the discussion topic themselves and have an opportunity to get the answers to the questions of their interest from the invited professionals and decision-makers.<\/p>\n<p><a Leaders School (ELS) is an initiative, which is being implemented within the framework of the project <em>\u201cPromoting Youth Transformational Leaders in Georgia\u201d<\/em>\u00a0by Georgian Institute of Politics (GIP) with the financial support of\u00a0USAID\/Georgia\u00a0and in partnership with\u00a0CRRC Georgia.\u00a0The project aims at raising youth awareness on political processes and democratization as well as developing their leadership skills and enhancing their participation and representation in public life.<\/p>\n<p>The second edition of the ELS will be completed in June, This edition of the ELS Diaries summarizes the trainings, which took place at the Emerging Leaders School (ELS) in March. ELS participants receive e-tasks from the trainers, which they prepare online in the following week individually as well as in groups. The participants then discuss their completed work during the online training sessions. Interesting and diverse training program of the ELS covers a wide array of topics such as public policy, challenges of foreign affairs, social and political campaigns, women\u2019s political participation, civic activism, etc. Moreover, the project provides an opportunity for the participants to share their views with the politicians, experts, and leaders through open discussions and participation in the Youth Democracy Forum.<\/p>\n<p>A series of training sessions, which take place every second weekend,\u00a0<strong>twice a month<\/strong>\u00a0started in February.
