Licínia Simão
Licínia Simão is assistant professor in International Relations at the School of Economics and senior researcher at the Center for Social Studies, at the University of Coimbra.Licínia holds a PhD in International Relations (specialisation in European Studies) from the University of Coimbra, with a thesis on the European Neighbourhood Policy towards the South Caucasus. Her research interests include foreign policy analysis, security, peace and conflict studies, and policies of statebuilding. Her research has dealt mainly with the European Union’s foreign and security policies and the former-Soviet space. Her most recent publication is the the book “The EU’s Neighbourhood Policy towards the South Caucasus: Expanding the European Security Community” (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018).
