Mapping and Mitigating Georgia’s Resilience Risks

Project Duration: 03.2023 || 11.2025

Status: Ongoing

Donor: NATO Public Diplomacy Division

Partner:

Budget: 7, 615 EUR

The project aims to initiate a strategic dialogue between the Georgian think tanks and state security agencies to engage in local and global risk mapping and integrate them in four dimensions in support of resilience building as the national responsibility and a collective commitment rooted in Article 3 of the North Atlantic Treaty. Reaching this goal could firstly be possible by mapping the global risks towards which Georgia is vulnerable, together with the expert community and in cooperation with the state’s key stakeholders, which could be done with participatory-based research work and thematic working meetings. The final impact of the action will be the engaged expert community, representatives of the security sector, and NATO in thematic policy discussion about national strategic planning for tackling the most acute local and global risk(s) emanating from specific state actors or intentionally directed towards Georgia.

The overall goal of GIP is to initiate a strategic dialogue between the Georgian think tanks and state security agencies to engage in local and global risk mapping and integrate them in four dimensions in support of resilience building as the national responsibility and a collective commitment rooted in Article 3 of the North Atlantic Treaty.

Specific objective 1: Mapping the local and global risks towards which Georgia is vulnerable, together with the expert community and in cooperation with the key stakeholders.
