Director of the Georgian Institute of Politics, Prof. Kornely Kakachia, participated in a High-level meeting on 29 March in Brussels – Navigating the new reality in the EU Eastern Neighbourhood.
The event brought together key policymakers and think tankers from the EU member states and Eastern partners to discuss the future of the EU enlargement and EaP policies in light of Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine. It commenced with high-level inputs from the European Commission and European External Action Service (EEAS), and the Swedish EU Presidency, followed by two-panel discussions. The first panel was focused on the future of the EU enlargement and Eastern Partnership policies, while the second addressed the issue of security and the EU’s role as a peace actor.
The event is organized within the framework of DGAP’s Think Tank Network on the Eastern Partnership, in partnership with SCEEUS, and with the support of the European Commission.
