Erekle Gozalishvili
Communications Officer
Erekle Gozalishvili is the Communications officer at the Georgian Institute of Politics (GIP), managing communications for EU-funded projects, co-organizing international events, and overseeing social media outreach strategies for the REUNIR – Horizon Europe project. Previously, he was a Robert Schuman Trainee at the European Parliament’s Directorate-General for External Policies, where he provided analytical support on EU candidate countries, assisted in drafting speeches for Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), and contributed to parliamentary capacity-building initiatives. Additionally, he worked as a Project Assistant at the Aspen Institute Germany, supporting high-profile conferences, including events linked to the Munich Security Conference.
His academic background includes a Master’s degree in European Studies from the University of Regensburg as a German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) scholar, complemented by Erasmus+ exchange semesters at Aalborg University in Denmark and previous studies at Ostfold University College in Norway and Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations with Honors from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in Georgia.
He has four years of experience in international relations, EU affairs, democracy support, and foreign policy analysis. His expertise includes project management, parliamentary support, and political research, with a strong background in organizing high-level conferences and contributing to EU enlargement and democracy-building initiatives.
