On May 14, 2025, the Georgian Institute of Politics participated in a conference titled โStrategic Dialogue Public Session: Russian Threat and Its Perceptions โ Lessons Learned from Poland, Ukraine, and Georgia.โ The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine to Georgia and CASE.
Prof. Kornely Kakachia, Director of GIP, was a featured speaker on the first panel of the session, which focused on โDimensions of Russian Aggression and Lessons Learned from Its Neighbors: Strategic Successes and Failures.โ The discussion included a second panel titled โDisinformation from Russia and Other Actors โ Strategic Toolbox, Good and Bad Practices in Countering It.โ The conference was opened with introductory speeches by Mr. Artur Gฤbal, Head of the Polish Mission to Georgia; Mr. Roman Yakovenko, Chargรฉ dโAffaires a.i. of Ukraine to Georgia; H.E. Paweล Herczyลski, Head of EU Delegation to Georgia.
The event gathered diplomats, embassy representatives, experts, policymakers, and academics to share their views on European defense and security architecture. It focused on the Russian threat, its perceptions, and the lessons learned by Eastern European countries, including Georgia, Ukraine, and Poland.
