Georgian Institute of Politics (GIP) conducted a focus group with the women representing Armenian minority in Akhalkalaki. The focus group took place on March 6, at the local office of the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (GFSIS). It was organized under the framework of the first phase of the project “Promote and Act for Europe”, which was facilitated by a trained local coordinator from Samtskhe-Javakheti. The presentation about the goal of the project and the aim of the research was made by project manager – Salome Kandelaki in Georgian language and the focus group itself was held in Armenian language under the supervision of the project key staff. Overall, 9 women aged below and above 30 with and without higher education participated in the focus group and expressed their opinions on the matters highlighted in the interview guideline. The research activity lasted for 2 hours and 10 minutes and it was recorded on the video. The identities of the focus group participants are kept confidential and the results of it are meant to be used for the research purposes only.
