On April 15, the NATO Public Diplomacy Division, in coordination with the Georgian Institute of Politics (GIP), hosted a study visit for Georgian experts, academics, and journalists at NATO Headquarters in Brussels. The study participants engaged in meaningful and constructive discussions with representatives from various NATO departments, in particular with the representatives of the Engagements Section, Public Diplomacy Division, Political Affairs and Security Policy Division, Press and Media Section, Public Diplomacy Division, as well as Innovation, Hybrid, and Cyber Division. NATO representatives shared experiences of their distinct roles within the alliance for fostering a deeper understanding among attendees. They examined NATO-Georgia partnership, ongoing and already implemented initiatives, missions, and collaborative projects, underscoring the importance of partnering with civil society to advance common objectives.
During the study visit, participants engaged in informative meetings addressing meaningful topics. Dr. Petr Lunak, Acting Head of the Engagements Section within the Public Diplomacy Division, provided insights into NATOโs Current Agenda. Steffen Elgersma from the Political Affairs and Security Policy Division elaborated on NATOโs partnerships. Daniele Riggio, Press Officer in the Press and Media Section of the Public Diplomacy Division, discussed NATOโs proactive approach to engaging with the media, and Judit Keczer, Policy Officer in the Innovation, Hybrid, and Cyber Division, presented an overview of NATOโs response to hybrid threats.
