BBC World Questions Tbilisi episode was released.ย 

BBC hosted a debate in Tbilisi, where leading politicians and academics took questions from a public audience. Prof. Kornely Kakachia, Director of the Georgian Institute of Politics, was invited as one of the guest speakers, assessing the most critical issues of today’s Georgia: membership of the European Union, relations with neighboring Russia, and the political environment in general.ย 

Anu Anand, BBC World Service Radio presenter, chaired the discussion. The panel included distinguished speakers:

  • Mariam Lashkhi, MP for the governing party, Georgian Dream Party, and Deputy chair of the Foreign Affairs select committee;
  • Tina Bokuchava, MP for the opposition party, United National Movement (UNM);
  • Prof. Kornely Kakachia, Director of Georgian Institute of Politics (GIP), Professor of Political Science at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU);
  • Levan Ghambashidze, Philosopher.ย
